Job Description
The primary role of the Logistics Specialist will be to support the global logistics operations of Vuori's supply chain. This role will focus on supporting the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods from suppliers to distribution centers and retail locations. This role requires strong expertise in international freight, customs compliance, and vendor management to support the company's growth and operational goals
What you'll get to do:
Logistics & Shipment Coordination:
- Monitor and coordinate outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers to track and manage bookings, consolidations at origins, and shipping schedules.
- Ensure all import/export activities comply with Global trade regulations, tariffs, and customs documentation requirements.
- Provide cross functional support for shipments of sample & promotional materials
Supplier & Vendor Communication:
- Liaise with manufacturers, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline logistics operations and work on special projects as needed
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure order accuracy, timely dispatch, and problem resolution.
- Assist in negotiating freight rates and service terms with logistics partners.
Inventory & Warehouse Management:
- Support inventory tracking, stock reconciliation, and warehouse coordination to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inventory movements and maintain updated records in the system.
- Work with warehouse teams to optimize storage and distribution efficiency.
Process & Operations Support:
- Identify process improvements to enhance shipping accuracy, reduce costs, and make improvements to overall supply chain performance.
- Maintain logistics reports, tracking key performance metrics such as delivery times, order accuracy, and costs.
- Communicate effectively with global headquarters and regional partners to ensure alignment on logistics strategies & quickly drive problem resolution
Qualifications
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or international shipping, preferably in the apparel or fashion industry.
- Strong knowledge of Asia's logistics network, trade compliance, and shipping procedures.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Hindi, Vietnamese) is a plus.
