We are a leading European Biotech manufacturing company with a growing presence in Taiwan, seeking an exceptional
Head of Operations
to oversee our expanding production facility. This is a unique opportunity to lead operational excellence in the biotech/life science industry while building and developing a high-performing team in a dynamic growth environment.
This role offers the chance to shape the future of our Taiwan operations while working closely with our German headquarters.
What You'll Do
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations of our manufacturing & production facility
- Ensure efficient production of key components and end products
- Drive operational excellence while achieving production targets and minimizing downtime
- Implement process improvements and quality enhancements
Team Development & Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across multiple departments
- Provide mentorship and foster a collaborative work environment
- Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs
- Build reporting structures aligned with German headquarters
Strategic Collaboration
- Procurement:
Collaborate with headquarters procurement team for cost-effective sourcing - Sales Support:
Provide operational support to China Sales Account Manager - R&D:
Coordinate with engineers to support innovation and continuous improvement - Quality Management:
Oversee Quality and QM department to maintain high standards
Business Management
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals
- Manage budgets and prepare financial reports for COO & CFO
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field (post graduate qualification preferred)Experience:
Minimum 10 years in operations management, preferably manufacturing environment- Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, procurement, and quality management - Language Skills:
Fluent English and Mandarin - Leadership:
Proven track record leading diverse teams - Technical Skills:
Experience with healthcare/laboratory products preferred
