Accountant performs a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to provide accurate and reliable financial information to management and ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Works closely with liaison office personnel and handles day-to-day bookkeeping.

YOU ARE

  • Conducts month-end/year-end close process and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with US/Local GAAP and reporting schedule so the liaison office can keep a full and reliable statement of its financial position.
  • Collects, compiles, verifies, analyzes, and reconciles financial information, and prepares financial reports and account reconciliations to assist the management in making financial decisions based on accurate and timely information.
  • Follows established procedures and guidelines to process account payables in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal control procedures. Answers related questions by researching and interpreting internal control policies and regulations.
  • Assists financial coordination between the company and local vendors.
  • Assists with preparing and coordinating the internal and external audit process.
  • Prepares tax payments and files tax returns in accordance with income tax, withholding tax, and value-added tax regulations to ensure the liaison office fulfills its tax obligation and is in compliance with the tax laws.
  • Provides technical accounting advice to functional co-workers to help them understand financial guidelines and manage their financial responsibilities.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in accounting or finance function, work experience in a multinational enterprise or a CPA firm is preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, Local GAAP and tax regulations
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, statistics and their applications
  • Proficient PC and accounting system skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and SAP (preferred)
  • Strong processing and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Ability to deal with complex tasks under time pressure and flexibility to handle new assignment
