HW Device Mechanical Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Device Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for developing innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions for desktop, portable, and server computer systems and peripherals.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in computer hardware mechanical engineering concepts, solid understanding of component/hardware device designs, and good understanding of factory assembly/automation direction for the computer industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Developing mechanical design solutions that meet customer requirements and ensure product quality.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Device, Platform teams, ODMs, and factory operations, to resolve issues and drive project success.

  • Providing technical expertise and support to ensure the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions.

  • Capturing lessons learned into future designs, RFI/RFQs, and specifications.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer mechanical engineering or related fields.

  • Extensive knowledge in computer hardware mechanical engineering concepts.

  • Solid understanding of component/hardware device designs.

  • Good understanding of factory assembly/automation direction for the computer industry.

  • Familiarity with DFMA and FMEA.
