Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Safety Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading process safety initiatives, facilitating the application of engineering principles, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role is a key member of our Asia Process Safety team, reporting directly to the Asia Process Safety Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and good communication skills.

The Process Safety Engineer will lead or perform hazard reviews, qualitative risk analysis, quantitative risk analysis, mechanical integrity consulting, and other process safety activities to ensure the safe operation of our plants and facilities.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for auditing PSM compliances, performing root cause analysis, and conducting process safety training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or facilitate Process Hazard Reviews for projects and operating facilities
  • Conduct specialized risk studies, including quantified risk analysis
  • Provide process safety consulting support and recommend optimal solutions
  • Audit PSM compliances at Sites
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Accident Investigation (as requested)
  • Develop and conduct process safety standards, tools, programs, and training courses
  • Assist in interpretation of national and local Process Safety Regulatory/Code requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in Industrial Gases or Petrochemicals or Chemical or related industry in process engineering or plant engineering
  • Good engineering problem-solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, passion for Process Safety field
  • Local Language (Mandarin) and written and speaking English skills required
