Technical Solutions Consultant Job Description

This role is a key member of our Android TV Partner Engineering team, responsible for fostering strong and successful collaborations with external partners. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be the technical engagement manager ensuring the success of Android TV partnerships by optimizing implementations for quality, performance, and business growth.


About the Role:
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Review partner implementations in detail to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring successful device launches and advocating for new product features based on partner feedback.
  • Enhance product offerings by providing partner feedback and representing partner needs to internal cross-functional teams including product management and engineering.
  • Optimize partner devices by debugging and resolving technical issues across the stack including system-on-chip (SOC), BSP, Android framework, and Android TV specific application components.
  • Support partner integrations for both new and ongoing by delivering comprehensive documentation and technical guidance.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize the business flow from new business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting in the mobile/CE/embedded space.
  • 2 years of experience in low-level/embedded systems and internet streaming technologies within the consumer electronics or embedded systems domain.
  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C++ or Python).
