About the Role

Xperi/Vewd focuses on technology for Smart TVs and our OEM partners (e.g., Sharp, Thomson, Vestel) and with some of the biggest content partners in the world, helping them deploy their services on our customer's platforms.

We are looking for a senior software engineer who has experience in developing Linux OS and integrating partners' deliverables with middle-ware among Linux embedded environment.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a high-performance team and have partnered with cross functional teams across multiple geographies.

You'll work closely with an extended team of experienced engineers locally and globally to continuously drive innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

About the role:

We are looking for a software engineer who has experience in developing Linux OS and integrating partners' deliverables with middle-ware among Linux embedded environment.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working in a high-performance team and have partnered with cross functional teams across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Develop system application manager and integrate with 3rd party applications.
• Develop and integrate system level features for compliance with different certification requirements and regulations of deployment in certain regions.
• Perform tests and profiling to improve overall system robustness and performance.
• Provide interfaces upward to user interface usages and downward to integrate with SoC platform layer.

Qualifications

Must have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science/EE with minimum 4 years of experience.
• Development experience with Embedded Linux (e.g. Yocto) experience is highly desirable.
• Experience of leveraging and developing on top of open-source software frameworks is highly desirable.
• Good proficiency with C/C++.
• Proven track record and experience building and delivering complex embedded SW products.
• Good working knowledge of English, written and spoken
• Good knowledge of Chinese; currently located in Taiwan and have required Visa to work

Nice to have:

• Experience in the development and debugging of embedded systems
• Experience in embedded Linux
• Experience in devtools or similar tool for issue analysis/debugging
