JOB SUMMARY
The Planner plays a critical role in optimizing the end-to-end supply chain for a dynamic gaming PC brand. This position ensures seamless alignment between demand forecasting, supply planning, and production scheduling to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer expectations for high-performance gaming hardware.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven professional with strong analytical skills, supply chain expertise, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. They will leverage AI-driven forecasting, digital planning tools, and supply chain automation to drive operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop SKU-level demand plans based on sales forecasts, historical sales data, market trends, promotional plans, and sales/marketing inputs.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align sales, marketing, and finance teams on consensus forecasts.
- Monitor inventory health (e.g., safety stock, sell-through rates) and adjust forecasts to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Utilize AI-driven tools and predictive analytics to improve forecast accuracy and scenario planning.
- Translate demand plans into supply plans, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of components.
- Optimize inventory levels using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, balancing Just-in-Time (JIT) principles with strategic buffer stock.
- Collaborate with procurement teams and contract manufacturers (CMs) to manage lead times, supplier risks, and supply chain disruptions.
- Develop production schedules aligned with supply plans and factory capacity constraints.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot delays and adjust production workflows as needed.
- Manage New Product Introductions (NPI) and End-of-Life (EOL) transitions, minimizing obsolete inventory.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and automation to improve production efficiency.
- Partner with logistics teams to ensure the timely global distribution of finished goods.
- Provide data-driven insights to marketing and sales teams for promotional planning.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on forecast accuracy, inventory health, supply risks, and production performance.
- Develop and maintain real-time supply chain dashboards for KPI tracking and decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years in demand planning, supply planning, and production planning.
- At least 3 years in a senior role, preferably in consumer electronics, gaming hardware, or technology industries.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Acumatica) and advanced planning tools.
- Advanced data analytics skills, including Excel (pivot tables, macros), or others for forecasting and supply chain modeling.
- Deep understanding of S&OP, inventory management, MRP, and production scheduling principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement proactive solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, global supply chain environment.
- Highly detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities and driving continuous improvements.
- Experience with AI-driven forecasting, automation tools, and digital supply chain transformation.
- Familiarity with contract manufacturing operations and supplier management in Asia.
- Industry experience in gaming PC hardware, components, or peripherals.
