Engineering Manager

What's the role?

The purpose of the role is to provide technical advice and educate assigned customers on Hilti's products, software, and services. The role involves providing technical advice to architects and engineers in order to secure specifications early in the design process. The job holder is responsible for key project specification of Hilti products, software and services, supporting the sales team in their efforts to sell a variety of Hilti solutions.

What does the role involve?

• Lead a high performing Specification Engineering team
• Full responsibility for specifier engagement development and engineering services
• Full operational and strategic responsibility for your Engineering team
• Leading, motivating and developing your team of Engineers
• Drive technical sales in close cooperation with other engineering teams and our sales team
• Communicate, led by example, and track the implementation of the national Engineering strategy on Specifier Account Development and Key Project Management to maximize specification products sales and deliver professional engineering software and services to specifiers.
• Build up technical competence in own engineering team

What You Need Is

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant Technical Field (e.g. Structural/Civil engineering, or similar)
• At least 5 years of experience in relevant engineering background ( selling specified engineering products or provide engineering solutions, while experience with supplier, EPC, engineering consultant or contractors will also be considered)
• Leadership experiences is an added plus. A strong leader who can develop and drive people to achieve their potential
• Senior experience with Hilti relevant applications with proven experience in construction, either in design offices or at construction sites
• In-depth knowledge of the design and construction process, in relevance to the Hilti scope of applications and products. Typically having a track as senior Specification, Field, or Key Project Engineer
• Able to steer a clear strategy to drive and maintain outstanding results
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills working in a fast-paced commercial environment involving multiple key stakeholders
