Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Chinese OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) Interpreter. The main responsibilities include facilitating effective communication between Chinese-speaking and English-speaking parties in various contexts such as medical, legal, and general conversations. The interpreter will accurately and fluently translate spoken dialogue while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English with excellent spoken and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong skills in interpretation, including Over-the-Phone and Video Remote Interpretation techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain cultural awareness and sensitivity while facilitating accurate translation in medical, legal, and general contexts.
  • Experience with communication tools, such as remote video conferencing platforms, and a stable internet connection for remote work.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills while adhering to professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
  • Prior experience in interpretation is preferred but not required; additional certifications in language services are a plus.
