Application Engineer Micro-Structuring

We are looking for an engaged and driven engineer with a pronounced customer focus. In this key role, you will execute application testing and development tasks and coordinate product development projects with local and regional customers. You will strongly contribute to strategic and operational aspects of Scrona's growth. The position offers the unique opportunity to establish and grow the Scrona presence and technology in Taiwan and Asia.

Job Description

  • Testing and Application Development
    : Support the Application Department in the Zürich headquarter with testing of new Printheads and Inks and Substrates and determine critical printing issues and parameters. Develop and document standardized printing procedures for new inks and substrates. Establish cooperation with local providers of metrology and characterize and document printed microstructures for their mechanical, geometrical and electrical properties in cooperation with 3

    party specialists.
  • Customer Projects
    : Be the main contact and first level support of our business partners and customers in Taiwan. Execute customer projects in teamwork with the Application Lab and other departments at the Swiss headquarter.
  • Business Development
    : Be the advocate of Scrona's Technology in Taiwan participating in related conferences and trade shows by yourself and in conjunction with other team members.

Your Profile

  • BSc / MSc in microsystems, microelectronics, physics, material science, or a related field
  • Highly perceptive individual with excellent multi-tasking skills and the competency to keep track of complex processes even under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with peers and customers also in English
  • Experience with analysis methods like SEM, AFM, Probe Stations, etc.
  • Experience in micro-structuring technologies is a plus
  • Innovative thinker and communicator who is pro-actively engaging with colleagues to render the innovation process efficiently
  • Willing to travel to Europe/Switzerland for initial training and occasional meetings.
  • Language requirements: Mandarin fluent, English fluent, German and Korean is a plus
