About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial IFRS 17 Lead to oversee the end-to-end IFRS 17 valuation and reporting processes. Leading a team of 3–5 actuaries, this role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality financial insights, robust governance, and continuous improvement across actuarial and finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the IFRS 17 actuarial valuation, reporting, and disclosure process in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, review, and maintain actuarial models, assumptions, and methodologies under IFRS 17.
• Analyze valuation results and provide strategic insights to management and finance stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor a small actuarial team, ensuring capability growth and high performance.
• Coordinate with Group and Regional teams on review discussions and project initiatives.
• ASA or above is preferred. Below ASA level would be considered if the candidate has strong technical skills and extensive valuation experience.
• Minimum 5–8 years of actuarial experience, including at least 2 years in IFRS 17 valuation or implementation.
• Programming skill, e.g. VBA, familiar with Prophet is a plus.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
