About The Job
We are seeking an experienced Senior Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee contract manufacturers and broader supply chain needs in Taiwan and/or South Korea for the New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume production of Anduril products. This role is critical in managing supplier relationships and is integral in the deployment of our innovative products.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for contract manufacturing in Taiwan, and/or South Korea ensuring alignment with Anduril's NPI and production goals.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with contract manufacturers in country to ensure they meet Anduril's standards for quality, cost, and delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain teams across Anduril, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management teams, to drive successful product launches.
- Manage the end-to-end supplier selection process for NPI, from initial market research to supplier qualification and final onboarding.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure optimal outcomes for Anduril, including intellectual property rights, indemnities, payment terms, and scalability for production.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to manage supplier performance, ensuring continuous improvement in quality, cost, responsiveness, and innovation.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks related to manufacturing capacity, lead times, and geopolitical factors within the supply chain.
- Monitor the contract manufacturing landscape in Taiwan and/or South Korea to adapt sourcing strategies and maintain competitiveness in rapidly changing environments.
- Be flexible to support local/in-country supply chain responsibilities as needed that may be outside of strategic sourcing scope.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related technical field or demonstrated experience through prior work history; advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
- Proven experience managing both large and small contract manufacturers for high-tech products, with a deep understanding of NPI processes and operations in Asia, particularly Taiwan and/or South Korea.
- Strong background in sourcing mechanical and electronic components, with an emphasis on complex assemblies.
- Local to Taipei, Taiwan and ability to travel extensively to supplier sites and work across different time zones to match operational schedules.
- Fluency in Mandarin and proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of managing contracts and enhancing supplier collaboration and performance.
- Solid understanding of procurement and inventory management systems, ideally with experience in Oracle or similar ERP platforms.
- Exceptional cross-functional teamwork and communication skills to liaise with international teams.
