About The Role
As an Engineering Program Manager on our Hardware team, you will support NPI programs & a wide range of product development efforts on the ground in Taiwan. In this role, you'll partner closely with US-based EPMs, Design and Engineering resources in both our US and Taipei offices, and a wide network of local JDMs. From managing build readiness and FATP prep to validation and certification troubleshooting, you'll be responsible for doing what it takes to keep programs on schedule & keep all internal and external project team members aligned. Verkada EPMs must be ready to get hands-on and leverage deep technical expertise to hold vendors accountable, clear program hurdles, and help the team drive from prototype to production. This is a full-time, in-person role based in our Taipei, Taiwan office.

What You'll Do

• Guide end-to-end product development efforts; work closely with a team of ME, EE, FW and ID resources (in both the US and Taiwan) to steer new programs from project RFQ through to validation, certification, manufacturing ramp-up, and sustaining
• Work closely with Verkada and JDM EPMs, Supply Chain Managers and Global Sourcing Managers to craft and track program schedules and coordinate all deliverables
• Own build readiness leading up to NPI builds; be present for key EVT, DVT, PVT milestones at our JDM R&D and factory facilities
• Drive vendors towards aggressive schedules and ambitious objectives
• Leverage your engineering foundation to de-risk development and solve technical challenges related to validation testing, line bring-up, FATP, yield, certifications and more.
• Lead a wide variety of weekly meetings including vendor calls, internal team updates, and presentations with key Verkada and JDM personnel
• Serve as the key point of contact for an international network of manufacturing partners
• Guide compliance efforts, sustaining work, and post-launch failure analysis efforts

What You Bring

• B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical design, validation and manufacturing; SMT exposure is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in developing and manufacturing new electronics products
• Must have completed at least two full hardware development cycles through product launch with direct exposure to FATP
• Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
