Job Description:
The Role:
The Scientist will play a role in developing high-performance CMP Solutions used in the production of advanced semiconductor devices in R&D at Entegris. This role is responsible for assisting in generating innovative CMP solutions formulation designs by identifying new, effective solutions components, establishing key product characteristics, discovering mechanisms of action, and delivering differentiated performance to our customers. The Scientist will own specific aspects of a development project and will be expected to design experiments and analyze generated data. The role must be able to communicate and discuss results directly with Global-R&D peers and cross-function partners.

In this role you will:

  • Design analyses, and interpretation of experiments that advance solutions formulation performance and mechanistic understanding through robust property-activity relationships.
  • Develops transfer functions at the solutions component level and optimize formulation to meet customer requirement.
  • Generate innovative solutions to complex problems by using multiple disciplines and technical principles. Willing to explore more innovative methods and can use transfer function knowledge to solve some problems, thereby improving product performance.
  • Document and communicate research results effectively including presentations/publications to external stakeholders and filing for patents as needed to protect intellectual property.
  • Clear communications and collaborate with across R&D and Entegris functionals by sharing research outcomes, adopting best practices and driving for continuous improvement to achieve research goals
  • Collaborate in a diverse team that includes engineers, customers representatives, chemists, quality specialists, production engineers, customer facing personnel, and account managers.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • MS degree minimum in chemistry, chemical engineer, material science or related field.
  • Able to hands-on experiments and coach research assistance.
  • Well communication skills and good collaboration with functional team.
  • Data analysis for formulation improvement by statistical methods.
  • Ability and experience in preparing and delivering project reports, papers, and presentations.
  • Good English oral, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive original ideas within project research scope.
