What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with international clients to develop firmware for next-generation chipsets such as Embedded Controllers (EC) and Microcontroller Units (MCU), ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
  • Participate actively in the software development process by interpreting requirements, writing high-quality source code, and adhering to best practices for embedded systems.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for software development by contributing ideas, sharing insights with colleagues, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant to microcontrollers.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while also cooperating closely with other team members to achieve shared goals within project timelines.
  • Study new technical specifications thoroughly and provide guidance or training to peers as needed to ensure collective understanding of evolving standards.
  • Document your work clearly and comprehensively to facilitate effective knowledge transfer within the team and support future maintenance efforts.
  • Engage in feature porting and customisation activities for specific client projects, adapting solutions to meet unique customer needs.
  • Utilise strong analytical skills to debug both hardware (using tools like Oscilloscope/JTAG) and software issues efficiently during development cycles.
  • Contribute to test case planning and validation processes to uphold product quality from design through final verification stages.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor of Engineering with over 5 years of firmware development
  • Proficiency in C, C , or Python programming languages with practical experience developing firmware for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with Bare Metal programming techniques as well as Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), particularly on ARM Cortex M7 platforms.
  • Experience in feature porting and customisation within project-based environments, demonstrating adaptability to diverse client requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product or project development processes from initial design through validation phases.
  • Strong analytical abilities for debugging both hardware and software components during development cycles.
  • Previous involvement in ODM or manufacturing projects is considered advantageous for this position.
  • Knowledge of test case planning methodologies along with hands-on validation experience is highly valued.
  • Capability to manage independent tasks effectively while maintaining open lines of communication within a team setting.
  • Familiarity with ARM or 8051 architectures as well as hands-on experience working directly with MCU hardware.
  • Good English speaking skill
