Job Description

  • Design and develop high-performance optical systems tailored for video and imaging applications.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses using industry-standard tools to optimize optical performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define and meet product requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and competitor products to inform innovation strategies.
  • Support ongoing production and optimize existing optical systems for performance and cost.
  • Lead the qualification of new optical components and tooling for mass production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges across the product lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in optical system design, preferably in video-related industries.
  • Proficiency in optical design and simulation tools (e.g., Zemax, TracePro).
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., ProE or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical integration, sensor selection, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with quality tools such as DFMEA, DFMA, and tolerance analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Experience in consumer electronics or imaging products (e.g., webcams, cameras, smart devices) is a plus.
