The Role
Expert at the physical infrastructure and support systems for IT and IT related equipment. Provides technical advice, planning, design, implementation, construction, commissioning, project management, and strategy to all aspects of infrastructure and facilities required for proper operation of data centers and specialized facilities. Identifies problems related to facilities installation, configuration, operations, or performance and has knowledge of the client's availability and performance requirements. Frequently has experience and advanced education with respect to Electrical Engineering, Emergency/Disaster Planning, Environment Planning, Fire Protection Planning, Mechanical Engineering, Data Center Design, Cabling, Consolidation, Relocation and Physical Security.

Planning for the construction of the machine room
:

  • Formulate the construction plan for the information equipment room, including space planning, air-conditioning and power equipment selection, network cabling design, and DCIM equipment.
  • Coordinate with various departments and suppliers to ensure timely completion of the plant construction.

Equipment planning and configuration
:

  • Planning and configuration of power and air-conditioning equipment for computer rooms, configuration of cabinets for various types of information equipment, DCIM solutions and equipment configuration.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and develop and conduct necessary tests.

Energy saving and carbon reduction strategies
:

  • Develop and implement an energy and carbon reduction program to ensure that the server room is operating in compliance with ESG standards.
  • Monitor energy usage and recommend improvements to reduce energy consumption.

Maintenance management
:

  • Formulate rules and regulations to manage, supervise and ensure the stable operation of the server room.
  • Handle all kinds of malfunctions in the server room and make contingency plans.

Security management
:

  • Develop and implement safety management system for the server room, including visitor management, equipment safety, etc.
  • Monitor the server room environment to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Document Management
:

  • Compile and maintain computer room related documentation including design, build and operation manuals, maintenance records, etc.
  • Regularly update the equipment list and configuration files for the server room.

*Who You Are
Academic qualifications*
:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Information Management, Information Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related majors.

Work Experience
:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in information equipment room construction and maintenance management.
  • Experience in energy saving and carbon reduction is preferred.

Skill Requirements
:

  • Familiar with server room planning, construction and maintenance process and daily operation.
  • Familiar with cabinet installation and configuration of information equipment such as servers, network equipment, and storage.
  • Understand and be able to implement ESG standards and energy and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with server room security management and emergency procedures.

License Requirements
:

  • Relevant professional licenses.
  • Must have : EPI CDCP / CDCS /CDCE or Uptime ATD, ATS
  • Nice to have. : ISO27001, ISO14064

Years of relevant experience is at least 5 years in information equipment room construction and maintenance management.
