Taiwan-based engineering team
to collaborate closely with our international HQ. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working in

We're looking for a Backend Engineer who is excited to design scalable systems, communicate ideas clearly, and help shape a product used by real users across multiple markets.

You are someone who:

  • Is self-driven, with strong independent thinking and decision-making ability
  • Has solid fundamentals in software engineering and backend system design
  • Is passionate about startups and enjoys building products from early stages
  • Communicates clearly and confidently in English (daily collaboration with overseas teams)

What You'll Do in Flexii

  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and well-structured RESTful APIs based on real user flows and business needs
  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP), ensuring high performance, reliability, and security
  • Work closely with Product, UI/UX, and Frontend teams across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore
  • Participate in system design and architectural decisions, from early concepts to production
  • Take ownership of backend features and continuously improve reliability, performance, and maintainability

What Skills and Experience You'll Need

  • At least 2 years of backend engineering experience, preferably using Java or Kotlin
  • Strong experience building the backend logic of web applications
  • Solid database skills (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL)
  • A strong foundation in designing and developing scalable APIs
  • Good understanding of general web architecture

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working or studying overseas, or in international / foreign startup teams
  • Taiwan residents or citizens
  • Experience collaborating closely with frontend engineers using React or Flutter
  • Prior startup experience or comfort working in fast-changing, high-ownership environments
  • A Bachelor's or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
