Actuarial & Insurance
The actuarial function is a core component of any insurance operation. Retirement benefit is also typically part of an essential package of employee benefits. In these areas, actuarial capability is required. Actuaries also expand their quantitative skills into the advanced data analytics to provide insights into underwriting, claims management, risk management and human resources management.

Requirements
We're looking for someone with:

  • University Degree holder in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, risk management, quantitative finance and other relevant programmes
  • Ability to learn, apply, and communicate technical concepts and ideas
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and good organisational skills
  • Excellent communication in verbal and written English
  • Excellent communication in Japanese would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-playing skills
  • Proficiency in MS office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, R, VBA) and data analytics techniques and tools would be advantageous
  • Commitment to obtaining the professional qualification of an internationally recognised actuarial organisation (e.g. Society of Actuaries) and good progress in the actuarial examination would be advantageous

  • Reserve and Embedded Value calculation and review
  • Actuarial audit on the financial statements of insurance companies or pension schemes of employers
  • Providing assistance on internal research, marketing and product development
  • Collaborating with professionals in the Deloitte network
