HCTW is a full licensed securities house with focus on cash equity brokerage and foreign securities business in Taiwan.

Report to: Managing Director and CEO HCTW and Senior Director and Head of Private Banking Taiwan

Principal Accountabilities

This job will carry the following tasks:

• Partnering with Relationship Managers to offer appropriate investment solutions to ultra/high net worth clients
• Attracting/enhancing high net worth client relationships and profitability
• Accountable for assessing client needs, developing a comprehensive investment strategy, coordinating sales and execution against that strategy, and monitoring the performance and appropriateness of the client's overall investment portfolio
• Job holder is expected to involve other Investment Departments, Compliance, Risk and Marketing where appropriate to improve client's portfolios and align with risk profile
• Ensure Business requirements and challenges are captured and resolved prior to future service launch
• Being a risk owner as Private Wealth head in HCTW to oversee HCTW PW team's daily operating to ensure PW team activities fully comply with local regulatory requirement and global policy, oversight including but not limited to the quality and efficiency of client onboarding, sales journey, client suitability, transaction, strategy implementation and risk control…etc
• Drive the investment business under Private Wealth to support the growth strategy.

Role Context

• Based in HCTW, Private Wealth Department as Head of Private Wealth
• The job holder will position the investment message of the Business in a portfolio context and provide investment advice directly to clients either on a regular basis or as required.
• Ensure sales quality of business unit and timely implement governance change on investment products as well as provide relevant training.
• Oversee and the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims.
• Facilitate and support senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback
• Participation in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities including risk and controls, regulatory controls, audit and regulatory compliance review remediation
• Participation in forums such as risk, project, governance, business committees, as and when required and represent
• Investigate and remediate ad hoc issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance

Major Challenges

• With the competitive market landscape and the changing expectations from stakeholders, the job-holder needs to keep
  abreast of the latest market/ industry trends and strive to meet the ever-changing demand from stakeholders
• Taiwan is a highly regulated market especially in the financial sectors. The job holder needs to operate under complex regulations and diversity of HCTW businesses to achieve a balance between the demands of the regulators, external bodies, and internal interests

Skills Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline
• Experiences in wealth management business or capital market preferably within private banking
• Sound knowledge of capital market products, management solutions.
• Client facing experience will be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin

License/Qualification Requirement:

• Prerequisite: 證券商高級業務員

  2. 外匯衍生性商品或衍生性金融商品推介工作經辦及相關管理人員證券投資信託事業或證券投資顧問事業業務人員
  3. 人身保險業務員(LIFE)
  4. 人身保險業務員銷售外幣收付非投資型保險商品(LIFEFX)
