A. JOB SUMMARY:

  1. Lead and oversees day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to the generation of, review of, reconciliation of, investigation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, regulatory reporting and related duties.
  2. Ensure operation compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures and statutory requirements
  3. Responsible for company annual audit, company income tax filing and all other tax matters

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Close, Consolidate and Report:

  • Oversee the billing process, including invoicing customers, negotiating payment plans, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and customer balances, and conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Generate reports on accounts receivable metrics, such as aging reports and collection performance, to provide insights to management.
  • Work closely with sales, customer service and supply chains, to resolve billing discrepancies and improve overall financial processes.
  • Ensure adequate preparation and filing of periodical financial statement (Balance Sheet, P&L)
  • Ensure that corporate guidelines and deadlines are adhered.
  • Responsible for statutory reporting process and the annual audit within the deadlines.
  • Ensure all approval processes are adequate and followed and monitored according to company guidelines and affiliate needs.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with local and corporate accounting and reporting policies and applicable laws and external regulations by using and adequate control mechanism.
  • Liaise with other managers and external auditors, tax advisers, authorities.

2. Tax:

  • Working with the Corporate Tax, ensure that EA's tax position is optimized
  • Ensure all local tax guidelines are followed and that all appropriate tax payments are made
  • Preparation and submission of Company tax returns. Ensure correct deferred tax calculation.

3. Capital

  • Working with Global and International Treasury functions, manage and optimize the cash flow requirements of the Company
  • Manage the collection of the Company's Trade (and Miscellaneous) Receivables

4. Inventory:

  • Whilst managed by the Supply Chain function, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for ensuring effective controls are in place (book to book records, physical stock counts and cycle counts) and are being implemented accordingly to safeguard the Company's assets

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor, or Accounting Degree Holder
  • 3+ years of accounting experience with foreign companies (retailing preferred)
  • Excellent accounting software user skills, experience with Oracle/SAP/Hyperion is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of US and local GAAP
  • Strong analytical skill with good business sense
  • Fluent in English comprehension, writing and speaking
