Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay General Semiconductor Taiwan, Ltd. is currently seeking applicants for a System Engr II, GMAS.

You will serve as the System Administrator for PROMIS MES software across two locations: Taipei, Taiwan (TW) and Tianjin, China (CN). Your responsibilities will include user administration, loading factory configurations, and performing general maintenance of the PROMIS systems. As part of a global organization, you will collaborate and coordinate with Operations staff worldwide.

What you will be doing:

• To perform as system administration of the PROMIS MES software in Taipei, Taiwan (TW) and Tianjin, China (CN), including startup and shutdown of production and test instances.

• To monitor Oracle databases associated with PROMIS MES systems in Taiwan and China.

• To provide general support for automation integration between PROMIS, SYSTEMA, and Tibco RV components.

• To offer general support for the 24x7 operations of the PROMIS MES environment (TW/CN).

• To Collaborate with the local HP-UX support team to ensure hardware, software, and OS availability as close to 24x7 as possible.

• To provide follow-the-sun emergency support for other PROMIS systems as part of the global organization.

• To participate in global projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field (work experience can be a substitute)

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in Semiconductor industry

• Work experience with MES software (PROMIS MES a plus)

• Proficient verbal and written stills in English language a requirement (will be communicating with English speaking users)

• Working knowledge of Oracle DB

• Working knowledge of HP-UX Operating System a plus

• Ability to work independently as well as in groups (local and remote users)
