Role Overview

The Solution Architect / Technical Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and guiding technical solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. This role bridges business requirements and technical execution, providing leadership across development, integration, and deployment phases. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions across applications, infrastructure, and integrations.
  • Develop high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) architecture documents, including data flow diagrams and interface specifications.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to development teams.
  • Lead code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architecture principles.
  • Drive adoption of best practices, design patterns, and reusable components.

Integration & Collaboration

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, developers, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for integrations and support.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations (PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Implement secure coding practices, encryption, and access controls.
  • Participate in architecture review boards and enforce governance policies.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for system optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
  • Mentor team members in architecture, coding standards, and DevOps practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical / Professional

  • 7+ years in IT architecture, solution design, or technical leadership.
  • Strong expertise in application design, APIs, microservices, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations, data modeling, and enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with security, compliance, and data protection in enterprise solutions.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
  • Collaborative and pragmatic approach to balancing technical and business needs.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred certifications:

  • TOGAF 9/10 Certified
  • Cloud Solution Architect (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • ITIL Foundation / Practitioner
  • Security certifications (CISSP, PCIP) preferred
