What you'll achieve

As quantum computing advances, traditional cryptographic systems face increasing risk. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).  A critical area for securing digital infrastructure in the quantum era. Engineers with PQC expertise are highly sought after for their ability to future-proof systems, lead secure design, and drive innovation in cryptographic standards. This specialization not only enhances technical depth but also positions you as a strategic contributor in shaping the next generation of secure technologies.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and implement quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms into Dell products.
  • Ensure seamless transition from existing to quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits of cryptographic systems for quantum vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to embed quantum-resistant protocols into products and infrastructure.
  • Stay updated on the latest research in quantum computing and cryptography.

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience. Experience with Firmware, SW development or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C/C++.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of cryptographic fundamentals, digital signatures, hashing algorithms, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
     
     

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Cryptography, Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Knowledge of quantum computing models, including Shor's and Grover's algorithms
  • Experience of Public Key Cryptography Standards including PKCS #1, PKCS #6, PKCS #7, PKCS #10, PKCS #11, PKCS #12. 
  • Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic algorithms such as ECC, DSA, and RSA.
