Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Develops knowledge in specific indexes, including gauging levels of complexity and maintaining a detailed understanding of market operations.
- Applies Index Review and Management policies, procedures, and controls, challenging and recommending improvements based on real-world events.
- Owns the review and recreation of sophisticated indexes, ensuring alignment with market developments and internal standards. Advises and updates relevant teams through regular communication.
- Analyzes markets and data to accurately understand the root cause of changes to indexes and communicates the impact to internal and external participants.
- Offers guidance and mentorship to internal partners within Content and Data teams and across the organization. Collaborates efficiently to prevent future incidents and recommend index changes and improvements.
- Communicates index actions to clients, highlighting underlying causes and implications.
- Maintains the integrity and accuracy of indexes, reviewing data to ensure completeness, authenticity, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Develops and applies specialist knowledge of bond instruments, including pricing dynamics, and market behavior, to ensure accurate index representation and timely updates. Collaborates with relevant teams to assess the impact of corporate actions and market movements on index composition.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in index management or a related financial data role, ideally with exposure to fixed income instruments. Proven track record of handling sophisticated index structures and market analysis.
