Camera Image Quality Engineer, up to Staff

Company:Qualcomm Semiconductor LimitedJob Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Systems EngineeringGeneral Summary: • Image quality tuning and strategy optimization for camera ISP, including algorithm tuning on temporal noise reduction, sharpness, tone mapping, and contrast. • Perform preliminary end-to-end IQ verification and studies to enable faster response to next generation customer requirements. • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and other departments, deliver well-substantiated evaluation reports and decisive conclusions with confidence.  • Conduct lab and field testing (objective and subjective) to evaluate image quality, behavior, and performance. • 60%–80% workload for customer support; 20% onsite availability for business travel across APAC and China. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience. • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience. • Experience in camera ISP tuning and image signal processing. • Basic understanding of 3A algorithms (Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, Auto Focus). Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with both objective and subjective image quality assessment methodologies. • Experience with Snapdragon ISP is a plus. • Background in image processing algorithms, image sensor characteristics, and optical system design. • Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, or Python. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and understanding to translate customer request to technical language and solutions • Experience in AI/machine learning-based image algorithm development is also a plus.
