Company:Qualcomm Semiconductor LimitedJob Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Systems EngineeringGeneral Summary:We seek a passionate engineer with in-depth knowledge on camera ISP algorithm to join the Camera Systems team.The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices, next-generation mobile photography and video experiences. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, ISP, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following:Research and development of advanced ISP algorithm to achieve best camera image quality.Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance.Prototype and validating solutions on embedded platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy robust and efficient imaging solutions into commercial products.Deployment and tuning support of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience.50%–70% workload for customer support; 20% onsite availability for business travel across APAC and China.Qualification5+ years working experiences in the following areas:Must be experienced with classical image processing algorithms development.Camera and image processing technologies.Image signal processor pipeline design.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsC, C++, Python, Matlab.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Camera ISP HW algo development.Experience with using a mix of traditional image processing techniques and machine learningExperience with different types of sensors and algorithms for sensor and optics processingMinimum Qualifications:•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.Preferred Qualifications:•    Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. • years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. •    8+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g.,  3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G).•    3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization. •    2+ years of supervisory experience. •    2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).•    1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:•    Leverages advanced Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate critical systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.•    Performs highly complex functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.•    Develops and analyzes highly complex system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.•    Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management teams, engineering teams, etc.) to complete project work, including implementing and verifying the system.•    Develops algorithms and works on new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.•    Drives triage of highly complex problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to internal and external stakeholders.Level of Responsibility:•    Works independently with minimal supervision.•    Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.•    Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.•    Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information. May require strong negotiation and influence with large groups or high-level constituents.•    Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).•    Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
