
MEP Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager, with an Engineering or Construction background, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. You will be experienced in the planning, scoping, and coordination of technical engineering projects in a live / operational environment.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of electrical and mechanical systems in a variety of infrastructure and Capex projects in critical environments, preferably data centres.
*Only candidates with experience in Taiwan with fluency in Chinese & English will be considered. This role will be based in Changhua, with shuttle buses provided connecting to Taichung.*
Responsibilities:
User Requirements Gathering:
Identify and document user needs and project requirements.
Review project design and contract documentation, contractor submissions, and tender packages.
Scope Development:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Ensure all design activities meet the approved brief and user requirements.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
Develop and manage project budgets, forecast expenses, and ensure financial control.
Update the Project Cost Status report monthly.
Stakeholder Management:
Obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders.
Coordinate and follow up on all comments from internal stakeholders.
Procurement and Tendering:
Oversee procurement processes and prepare tender documents.
Verify contractor submissions, including payment requests and change orders.
Kick-off Meetings:
Organize and lead initial meetings with vendors to set project expectations and milestones.
Prepare Project Update materials for client and contractor meetings.
Construction Management:
Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines.
Conduct regular site checks on installation methods, workmanship, and quality assurance processes.
Invoicing and Financial Management:
Manage project invoicing, track expenditures, and ensure timely payments.
Verify contractor's requests for payment and monitor construction progress.
Site Management:
Oversee site activities, ensuring safety protocols and effective coordination with on-site teams.
Track work status and follow up on necessary actions.
Quality Control:
Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
Provide regular reports to the Client, including photos and comments on the site QA/QC process.
Project Close-Out:
Complete project close-out activities, including documentation, final inspections, and handovers.
- Coordinate review of shop drawings with consultant's design documentation and ensure all submission activities comply with authority requirements.
