Job Purpose
The Operational Risk Manager acts as a risk controller is primarily responsible for implementation of operational risk management framework in Taiwan.
Responsibilities
- Work with Unit Operational Risk Managers ("UORMs") for risk incident/event reporting and escalation; and maintain accurate operational risk data in Operational Risk Management system.
- Review and challenge the risk assessment on new products/services and outsourcing/third parity activities proposed by BU/SU.
- Facilitate Risk & Control Assessment ("RCSA") for BUs/SUs, while assisting in reporting of assessed results and subsequent follow-up actions.
- Conduct/support thematic reviews to identify potential risk or control issues.
- Implement and maintain operational risk related policies/standards/guides.
- Assist to provide advisory and consulting services to BU/SUs on operational risk control topics, along with recommendations for risk mitigations.
- Participate in relevant projects or work groups initiated by region/country.
Requirement
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in financial institution with at least 2 year working in risk management/control related
- University degree holder or equivalent, with major study in finance or business-related disciplines.
