Join a leading global shipping line and take the helm of agency operations in one of Asia's key markets. This is a strategic, hands-on opportunity for a commercially driven leader to drive growth, modernisation, and profitability across a well-established local business.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, performance, and governance of the Taiwan agency. Your focus will be on delivering results through strategic planning, operational efficiency, and effective team leadership, while driving a modernisation agenda in line with group direction.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading day-to-day commercial, customer service, and operational activities to ensure profitability and efficiency

  • Developing and executing business strategies that drive growth, optimise performance, and deliver agency KPIs

  • Managing financial performance including working capital, debtors, cash flow, and full P&L accountability

  • Implementing process improvements and aligning local operations with regional best practices

  • Leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing team to achieve business objectives

  • Ensuring compliance with local tax, labour, and regulatory requirements in line with corporate standards

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in container/liner shipping

  • Proven track record of P&L management and commercial success

  • Strong domain knowledge of the liner shipping value chain, including port, terminal, and equipment operations

  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and modernisation initiatives

  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and stakeholder management
