The Role of a Global Sourcing Manager:
You will be responsible for executing procurement processes, including category management, sourcing strategy, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance/relationship management.
This role requires the ability to move fast, speak up, decide, own, drive change, exceed customer needs, and collaborate effectively with internal customers and external partners/suppliers.
- Be responsible for sourcing & procurement for EE components
- Be responsible for supplier management, price negotiation and cost reduction
- Be responsible for new supplier selection
- Be responsible for the negotiation with suppliers on contract/agreements and business terms
- Need to provide supplier roadmap and market trend analysis to internal customers on regular basis
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal customers and external partners/suppliers
- Interact with key business leaders and managers/buyers to proactively identify potential sourcing opportunities
- Drive saving initiatives for the responsible category
- Work on long term component capacity planning and identifying sourcing bottlenecks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Business and/or Engineering
- Excellent English reading, speaking, and writing skills
- At least 5-8 years sourcing experience or equivalent - EE components
- Good capabilities to understand technology, key market players, market drivers, and cost structure
- Good communication
- Strong interpersonal skill
- Strong analytical and negotiation skill
- Ability to work globally (3 regions: US, EMEA, and AP)
