Responsibilities

· Plan, develop, testi, launch, and maintainithe website using WordPress.

· Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and page templates

· Build content structures: categories, author pages, article pages, internal search, related content, advertising placements, and multilingual functions.

· Work closely with the SEO, content, design, product, and marketing teams to ensure the website is scalable, easy to manage, and technically optimized for search engines.

· Own technical SEO implementation: website structure, page speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile performance, XML sitemaps, schema markup, canonical tags, hreflang, redirects, internal linking, crawlability, and indexation.

· Handle website security, backups, caching, CDN configuration, bug fixing, server-related issues, and ongoing technical maintenance.

Requirements

· At least 5 years of website development experience, with strong hands-on experience in WordPress development.

· Have experience building and launching a complete WordPress website from scratch. Proficient in WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, custom theme development, plugin customization, REST API integration, Git, website deployment, security, caching, and performance optimization.

· Good understanding of technical SEO and be able to work independently, identify technical risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and recommend practical solutions.

· Experience developing large content websites, media websites, news platforms, multilingual websites, or websites with a high number of pages is highly preferred.

Nice to have

· Experience with Headless WordPress, React, Next.js, Vue, Node.js, Python, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Algolia, TradingView, financial data APIs, membership systems, subscription systems, or advertising-management systems will be considered an advantage.

· Experience in financial services, investment, trading, brokerage, FinTech, or financial media will also be a strong advantage.
