Job Summary
This position is accountable for DS&S Engineering scope in Asia excluding Korea region. DS&S offers Specialty Gas Delivery Equipment/Specialty Chemical Delivery Equipment/Turnkey Installation of Gas/Chemical systems and Poly Flow products. This individual is expected to have technical design capability in order to be able to develop products for end customers.
- We are looking for a dynamic, versatile Control Engineer who will be responsible for new tool design and introduction for GDS (Gas Delivery System) and LDS (Liquid Delivery System). This process includes PLC/HMI coding, P&ID diagram understanding, electrical design review, project management, specification development, vendor selection, procurement, validation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
- With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors, you must be able to interact with staff in all functions to meet customer requirements, enhance tool performance and improve quality.
- We expect that you’ll collaborate, share and work as a team that partners closely with all stakeholders. Your Role
- Experience of PLC/HMI coding and automation equipment integration.
- Initial understanding the electrical schematic and P&ID diagram.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Maintenance and Reliability (DfMR), HAZOP, Risk assessment and FMEA to build best-in-class equipment for DS&S.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive system-level improvements for performance, reliability, and cost optimization (8D, 5-Why, fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams, and fault tree analysis.)
- Use a variety of inputs to develop a coherent specification document that clearly defines all aspects of the project.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders including, Commercial, Project, Service, Product, Quality, Mechanical Design, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operation Planning personnel in the entire process development to commissioning and qualification.
- Develop and manage project plans to complete within schedule, budget and quality constraints.
- Assist with Manufacturing/Production Engineering responsibilities if the business dictates. This would include troubleshooting, failure analysis, Quality and Yield improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to teammates to complete all assigned tasks. Who You Are
- Minimum Bachelor‘s Degree is required with background of Electric/Automation engineering preferred, but related experience in lieu of education may also be considered.
- 5+ years of working experience in the engineering field in production environment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, control drawings, and engineering drawings. Design capability is better.
- Experience working with PLC/HMI (Siemens/Proface is plus). Understanding the concept of pump, regulator, valve and sensors (i.e. temperature, level, pressure, flow etc.).
- Experience in Project management, mechanical design and development.
- Knowledge of PDCA, Risk analysis, FMEA, DFM, DfMR, HAZOP, DMAIC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft application for writing technical reports and documentation of procedures, change control and technical specification.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to teammates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive mindset with creativity, good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
- Preferably able to start work with short notice. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor equipment companies or other related companies.
- Experience in complex system design involving multi-disciplinary integration.
- Knowledge of or experience in gas / chemical delivery systems (preferred, not mandatory)
- Experience with PLM/PDM/SAP systems and engineering change management processes. (preferred, not mandatory)
- Familiarity with global standards and regulations (SEMI, NFPA, CE, Ex-proof, etc.)
