About Your Next Opportunity HTC is seeking a Product Planning Senior Professional to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the future direction of our global product portfolio. In this senior-level role, you will be a key strategic voice in shaping HTC's product portfolio — driving end-to-end product planning from market analysis and opportunity identification through roadmap definition, go-to-market strategy, and lifecycle management. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and business development teams to ensure HTC's product line remains competitive, differentiated, and aligned with global market trends. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in consumer electronics or extended reality (XR) technology, a strong command of competitive intelligence, and a proven track record of translating customer insights and business strategy into compelling, executable product plans at a global scale. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the development and ongoing management of multi-year product roadmaps aligned with HTC's strategic business objectives
• Define product positioning, target segments, pricing strategy, and market entry plans for new and existing products
• Conduct in-depth market research, competitive landscape analysis, and consumer trend studies to identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities
• Partner with engineering and design teams to evaluate technical feasibility, set product requirements, and prioritize features that maximize business impact
• Serve as the cross-functional program leader for major product planning initiatives, coordinating timelines and deliverables across hardware, software, marketing, and supply chain
• Present product strategy and roadmap recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, with clear articulation of business rationale and risk tradeoffs
• Develop and maintain business cases, including revenue projections, cost modeling, and ROI analysis for new product investments
• Monitor industry trends in XR, wearables, and adjacent technology categories to inform portfolio strategy and identify partnership or ecosystem opportunities
• Collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to ensure global product plans reflect localized market needs and go-to-market requirements
• Establish and track key product planning KPIs, providing regular reporting and strategic insights to guide portfolio decisions
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior product planning team members, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and strategic thinking Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities)
• 12+ years of experience in product planning, product management, or product strategy within the consumer electronics, mobile, or technology industry
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end product planning initiatives from concept through launch at a global scale
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases and market sizing models
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market, competitive, and technical data into clear strategic recommendations
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, supply chain, and marketing teams in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
• Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Abilities)
• Experience in XR (VR/AR/MR), wearables, or emerging technology product categories
• MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience working with global teams across Asia, North America, and Europe, with sensitivity to regional market dynamics
• Familiarity with hardware product development cycles and manufacturing processes
• Experience defining and managing product ecosystem strategies, including software, accessories, and third-party partnerships
• Proficiency in market research methodologies, including primary research, consumer panels, and syndicated data sources
