Sr Supplier Quality Engineer

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Quality Engineer to join our IC Operations-Quality team in Taiwan or Korea. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

As a Quality Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the QA Director and is a full-time position. We are looking for innovative, proactive, and experienced quality engineer to support and drive supplier quality to consistently meet Rambus and customer requirements.

• Responsible for defining supplier quality requirements and managing flow down of applicable customer requirements to the suppliers.
• Acts as the main day-to-day contact for supplier quality issues as well as provide support to customer quality team on customer requirements impacting suppliers.
• Provides support and coordination with customer quality engineers on customer quality surveys and audits of Rambus or its suppliers.
• Direct interface and collaboration with suppliers to monitor and control supplier quality.
• Manages the flow down of Rambus and customer requirements to suppliers and ensures consistent compliance.
• Conducts supplier quality audits, covering QMS and processes.
• Drives supplier quality improvements through supplier audits, periodic quality reviews, supplier quality reporting and corrective actions.
• Drives timely resolution of supplier-owned issues and ensures timely and quality 8D from suppliers.
• Work closely with packaging engineering team to continually drive process and quality improvements at the OSAT's

• BS Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Min. 3 years' experience in Quality Engineering- Supplier Quality, supporting OSAT's and suppliers, in the semiconductor industry.
• Auditor certification (ISO 9001, Supplier Audit), a plus
• Strong knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and use of analytical and problem-solving tools using 8D methodology
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and very good command of English, and Mandarin/Korean language and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal customers and external suppliers.
