This demands delivering the right data solutions at the right time. We're looking for a Technical Manager who excels at building high-performing data engineering teams and delivering business-transforming solutions. In this role, you'll lead Quality Pillar Data Engineering Team within our Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. Your team will partner with domain experts, data scientists, and business functions throughout the data value chain—building automated pipelines, processing multi-source data, developing data products (lakes, warehouses, marts), performing data cleansing, feature engineering for ML, and establishing data governance. You'll ensure critical projects and production support are delivered with excellence through strong cross-functional collaboration, while continuously driving quality improvements in Fab Manufacturing operations. This includes implementing data-driven initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce defects, enhance yield performance, and enable proactive decision-making that elevates overall fabrication quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Team Management

• Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and encourage leveraging AI-driven insights for better decision-making.
• Remove roadblocks for team works by introducing and promoting AI-powered tools to streamline workflows.
• Leverage organizational resources and AI capabilities to improve capacity for project work.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering AI literacy and innovation in data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with key project partners, solution analysts, and architects on project needs and translate requirements into technical needs.
• Participate in design and architecture review along with developers for implementing Big Data, AI-driven analytics, and cloud data warehouse solutions.
• Lead the team to implement solutions that eliminate or minimize technical debt through a well-designed architecture, data model, lifecycle, and AI-enhanced automation.
• Bring together and share best-practice knowledge among the data engineering community, including AI empowerment strategies.
• Lead the team to work with OPS through operational issues, escalations, and resolve business partner issues in a timely manner using AI-assisted monitoring and predictive insights.
• Collaborate with business partners and other teams to ensure data solutions are available, recover from failures, operate healthy, and leverage AI for proactive system health checks.

Strategy Lead Support for requirement development

• Support the Strategy Lead in managing customer expectations for project deliverables.
• Confirm priorities for the team's work and facilitates settlement of prioritization conflicts.
• Assist the Strategy Lead in communicating business requirements (or transfer into technical requirements) to the team.

Team Building

• Promote empowerment of the team to build a cohesive, high performing team.
• Ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution
• Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
• Use appropriate data and metrics to measure and promote team growth and maturity.
• Facilitate resolution of conflict within the team.
• Provide specific performance feedback to team members and their managers.

Qualifications

Required Technical Experience:

• B.S. degree and above in Computer Science or related fields (Information Engineering, Information Management, Data engineering, Applied Mathematics)
• 5+ years of experience working/leading with Big Data Solutions development
• Minimum of 2 years demonstrating strong performance and proven capability at the Senior Engineer level (E4+) or above.
• Strong experience of using ETL tools (NiFi, Spark…etc)
• Strong experience of developing in relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, AlloyDB…etc)
• Application development skills and proficiency with Python, Java, Base shell, SQL…etc
• Experience with Cloud services such as GCP, AWS, Snowflake
• A passion for data and information with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

Experience below as is plus:

• Experience for edge computing
• knowledge in Unix-like systems
• Experience with configuration automation tools
• Experience programming on embedded device technology and network protocols being used – MQTT, COAP, BT etc.
• Proven experience on the process of data being collected, stored and analyzed in edge computing devices (single-board computer, IPC, GPU server, or FPGA)
• Python script / Shell
• Nvidia experience

• Experience creating, measuring, and improving business processes  
• Strong communication skills, with a track record of significant direct interaction and peer leadership with partners across the company
• Ability to independently prioritize work from multiple sources, including quick tasks and large-scale project work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and drive for results
• Good communication skills in English or TOEIC 650 and above
