Senior Hardware Engineer – High-Speed Design (Industrial Applications)

Location: Zhubei or Taichung, Taiwan

Experience: 10+ years

Industry: Industrial Networking, IPC, Data Center, High-Speed Board Design

Role Overview

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer with extensive experience in high-speed board design for industrial applications such as Industrial PCs (IPC), Ethernet switches, or data centers. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing multi-layer PCBs (8+ layers), working with high-speed interfaces, and understand embedded system for robust performance in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities


• High-Speed PCB Design: Architect, design, and develop complex multi-layer PCBs (10+ layers) for industrial applications.


• Industrial-Grade Product Development: Design rugged, high-reliability boards that meet IPC, EMI/EMC, and environmental standards.


• Schematic & Layout Design: Proficiency in OrCAD and PADS


• High-Speed Interfaces: Design and validate PCIe, Ethernet (1G/10G/25G+), DDR4/DDR5, USB 3.0+, and SerDes interfaces.


• Collaboration: Work closely with FPGA engineers, firmware teams, and mechanical designers to optimize system performance.


• Hardware testing & Validation: Develop basic test plans, bring-up procedures, and validation reports for prototypes and final products.

Required Skills & Experience


• of experience in high-speed PCB design for industrial networking, IPC, or data center applications.


•       Some knowledge/ expertise in high-speed signal design, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance.


•       Good experience in multi-layer PCB stack-up design (8+ layers).


•       Hands-on experience with PCIe, DDR4/DDR5, Ethernet (10G/25G/100G), USB, and SerDes technologies.


•       Experience with FPGA-based board design is a plus.


•       Some experience with industrial standards is a plus (e.g., EN55032/35, EN , EN50155, IEC, MIL-STD-810 for rugged designs).


•       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


•       Ability to work in cross-functional, international teams.


•      Hands-on as well as willingness to be part of a team work.
