Application Engineer- Factory Automation and Control&Software

Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Be able to work as the project owner/leader of factory automation business in one of the topnotch teams within a strong and supportive international automation platform. Work closely with design expects to develop tailor-made concept in feeding technology.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Technical Support & Solution Development:

• Act as the primary technical contact for feeding units, handling systems, and electric automation solutions, guiding customers in product selection, system design, and solving.

• Develop tailored solutions to address specific client needs, considering operational requirements, environmental conditions, and budget constraints.

• Work alongside the sales team to create compelling technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

• Application Engineering & Product Expertise:

• Serve as a domain guide for feeding unit, handling, and automation systems, advising on applications and standard processes.

• Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs, assess existing setups, and provide recommendations for improvements or new installations.

• Communicate efficiently to customer regarding feeding system concept/ user documentation, including system specifications, wiring diagrams, configuration manuals, and trouble solving

• Customer Training & Support:

• Deliver training programs and workshops to customers, ensuring their teams are proficient in feeding unit, maintenance, safety procedures, handling systems, and electric automation.

• Develop customized training materials and user guides tailored to the local requirements of Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

• Assist customers with solving and resolving technical issues, either remotely or on-site as required.

• Project Implementation & Management:

• Support project implementation from the initial design phase to final deployment, coordinating with both internal teams and customers to ensure magnificent execution.

• Coordinate installation and testing of systems, ensuring they meet both technical specifications and customer expectations.
• Work with the technical team to customize industry-specific and efficient solutions.

• Responsible for magnificent execution of FAT and SAT for feeding system projects

• Product Development & Market Insights:

• Provide market feedback and insights assembled from customer interactions to product management and R&D teams, assisting in future product development and innovation.

• Stay updated on industry trends, driven products, and new technologies within electric automation and handling systems to continually improve technical expertise.

• New Business Development

• Identify, develop, and be an excellent partner with new integrators, distributors, and end customers to drive business growth.

• Build a robust pipeline of prospects through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic partnerships.

• Expand Factory Automation Market Presence

• Craft and implement market-entry strategies to penetrate the factory automation sector.

• Work with the technical team to customize industry-specific and efficient solutions.

• Market data and competition analysis

• Conduct market research and analysis on key industries to understand market trends

• Understand the voice of the customer and compare product portfolios with competitors

• New Product Launch & Training

• Be responsible for the promotion of new products/solution/application, including coordinating training sessions for clients, partners, and internal teams.

• Work multi-functionally with product team, AE team, and sales to ensure successful product commercialization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years' Experience in application engineering, technical support, or a similar role
• Familiar with automation industry
• Basic knowledge of CAD
