About the role:      Xperi/Vewd focuses on technology for Smart TVs and STBs. We work with customers like TPVision, Amazon, Sony, Samsung, Vestel, and with some of the biggest content partners in the world, helping them deploy their services on our customer's platforms.      When you're watching YouTube on a Philips TV, you may see part of our work      Join our team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge Xperi/Vewd products. As an Embedded Software Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting customers with the seamless integration of our products into their platforms. This is a great opportunity to leverage your problem-solving skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.      You'll work closely with an extended team of experienced engineers across Taiwan, China, and Poland, driving innovation and excellence.      What you will get to do:  Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, portable, and reliable C++ code (25M+ LOC; majority in C++, but Java/JavaScript/Python is also there)  Identify bottlenecks and bugs for a plethora of platforms and device solutions   Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization   Proactively seek assistance when required and actively contribute to team activities including design reviews, code reviews and mentoring   Stay current about industry developments and Internet technologies      Who we are looking for:  Must have:  Familiar with modern C++ coding (11 or above)   Good C++ skills and a firm understanding of object-oriented programming   Familiar with HTML/Java/Javascript  Experience in UNIX/Linux programming   Drive and commitment to work in a highly dynamic environment   Knowledge of web standards   Good working knowledge of English, written and SPOKEN   Good knowledge of Chinese   *** You are already located in Taiwan and have a visa to stay ***     Ideal:  Experience in the development and debugging of embedded systems   Experience in embedded Linux  Experience in devtools or similar tool for issue analysis/debugging      What will make you successful:  The ability to propose, design and develop solutions that scale  Keen troubleshooting skills  Good written and oral communication skills  Expert problem-solving skills
