  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with software development in C, C++, Python, Java, Kotlin, AngularJS or embedded systems.
  • Experience in the software development life cycle, including analysis and design, APIs and development tools.
  • Ability to work on system level problems and solving problems that cross Hardware/Software boundaries.
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills.

Google TV is redefining the TV experience to make it highly personalized, Google-smart, and content-forward to help users access the world's media. Through recent launches like Chromecast with Google TV, we bring together the best of Google. Google TV is focused on scaling across the OEM ecosystem; working closely with third-party streaming partners plus many teams across Google (for example: Ads, Play, and YouTube); and building a business on TV platforms, OTT devices, and mobile devices. Responsibilities

  • Innovate, design, implement, and test new software features for TV embedded systems (streaming sticks, panel TVs and set top boxes).
  • Build high quality Android TV OS reference designs that provides the foundational hardware and software for TV OEMs to launch devices with quality.
  • Bring up new prototype Hardware systems. Work with unreleased TV OS and devices to bring a high performance Google TV experience to users.
  • Collaborate with key partners to support feature development and device launches.
