Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
  • Experience with Joint Design Manufacturer (JDM) model.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product/mechanical design and with consumer electronic products.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin to support stakeholders management in this region.


About the job

As a Product Design Engineer, you will work in a number of areas by visiting multiple sites including system/reliability failure analysis and subsystems/components Design for Manufacturing (DFM). You will work closely with our team based globally to realize and ship outstanding products.

Responsibilities
  • Complete failure analysis for manufacturing and reliability issues, brainstorming potential solutions.
  • Oversee suppliers of subsystems/components from concept to mass production.
  • Work both separately and as a team player in a globally distributed team. Demonstrated sense of ownership, detail oriented, and organized.
  • Participate in technical discussions in both English and Mandarin.
