The position of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for executing and driving EHS initiatives for employees in Taiwan. The successful candidate will define and refine EHS policies, review new compliance processes across TRUMPF Taiwan, and work cross-functionally with key stakeholders.

This role requires a hands-on and proactive leader who can translate EHS strategies into practical on-site actions, engage directly with field operations, and foster a strong safety culture throughout the organization. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and guiding both employees and contractors toward EHS excellence.

The position reports directly to the Managing Director of TRUMPF Taiwan and is based in our Taoyuan Office or Tainan Office, with travel across Taiwan as required by business needs.

Main tasks

1. Overall EHS Management and Strategy

2. Establish, implement, and continuously improve the company-wide EHS management system in alignment with ISO 45001, and Corporate EHS Standards.

3. Develop annual EHS objectives, KPIs, and improvement plans to ensure compliance across company operations and on-site activities.
4. Regularly report safety performance, key risks, and incident trends to management.

5. Support ESG, sustainability, and related strategic initiatives from HQ.

6. Site Safety and Health Management (Focus: Equipment Installation and Maintenance)

7. Develop and oversee safety procedures for equipment installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities.

8. Train and audit Field Service Engineers on safe work practices and compliance with company and customer requirements.
9. Coordinate with customers' EHS teams to ensure contractors and engineering activities comply with client EHS standards.
10. Review risk assessments and safe work procedures for site activities.

11. Investigate and manage on-site incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.

12. Chemical and Specialty Gas Safety Management

13. Manage chemical safety during equipment installation and servicing, including SDS management, labeling, storage, and transportation.

14. Establish procedures for handling, reporting, and emergency response related to toxic chemicals and specialty gases.

15. Support the equipment design team in conducting product EHS risk assessments.

16. Regulatory Compliance and Auditing

17. Monitor and ensure compliance with Taiwan's environmental, occupational safety, labor safety, fire protection, and waste management regulations, in coordination with the corporate EHS team.

18. Lead internal audits, third-party audits, customer EHS audits, and regulatory inspections.

19. Lead the EHS Committee, maintain regulatory tracking systems, and oversee corrective and preventive action plans.

20. Training and Safety Culture Promotion

21. Plan and execute EHS training programs for employees and contractors, including onboarding, on-site, and management-level training.

22. Promote safety awareness and a proactive safety culture among all staff.

23. Organize safety campaigns, Safety Weeks, and special projects to strengthen EHS engagement and behavioral safety.

24. Emergency Response and Crisis Management

25. Develop and test emergency response plans for various scenarios, including chemical spills, fire, earthquakes, natural disasters, and medical emergencies.

26. Coordinate internal and external emergency communication and response with authorities such as the fire department or industrial safety centers.

27. Manage emergency resources and equipment, including spill kits, respirators, and eye wash stations.

28. Team Leadership and Cross-Regional Collaboration

29. Lead the Taiwan EHS team with 7people and collaborate with global EHS leaders to align and implement corporate EHS initiatives.

30. Support EHS planning, review, and implementation across different business divisions (MT/LT/E/EUV) and operational sites.

31. Customer Communication and Safety Culture Building

32. Serve as the primary contact for customers on EHS-related matters, ensuring transparent communication and effective coordination during on-site activities.

33. Represent the company in EHS discussions, audits, and reviews with clients to maintain compliance and reinforce trust.
34. Lead initiatives to build and strengthen a positive safety culture across all levels of the organization and at customer interfaces, promoting shared responsibility for EHS excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have acquired Level A or B technician of Occupational Safety Management

• High flexibility for traveling domestically between offices.(TY and TN)

• Capable of communicating in English with fair oral, listening and writing ability (Equivalent to TOEIC 750 or IELTS 6.5 and above)

• People management experience is the must
