As a Senior Facilities Gas Engineer at Micron, you will have the outstanding opportunity to contribute to a top-tier team in Taichung City. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering services critical for the planning, composition, construction, operation, and maintenance of our brand new Facilities systems. This position is vital in guaranteeing environmental, safety, regulatory, and code compliance while backing semiconductor manufacturing at its best

Maintenance, Build, and Construction

• Provide system builds ensuring flawless operations and maintenance
• Develop equipment and component specifications strictly adhering to standards
• Ensure designs align with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations
• Maintain capacity planning databases and track system capacities
• Prepare and present periodic system status updates
• Support manufacturing scenario planning
• Evaluate capacity impacts based on scenario changes
• Provide scope for infrastructure modifications
• Assess space planning for future equipment needs

Provide Project Support

• Work together with the Global Facility (GFAC) team and manufacturing collaborators
• Deliver detailed builds and specifications for new infrastructure installations
• Implement solutions following standard processes and Best Known Methods (BKM)
• Adhere to Facility and EHS Management of Change (MOC) procedures
• Support cost and schedule estimates for scenario changes
• Supervise and coordinate consultant resources
• Develop project scopes with required collaborator input
• Address Model Base Problems Solving (MBPS) or corrections
• Conduct system inspections and sign off on reports
• Monitor progress and provide engineering support during construction
• Support equipment startup and commissioning

Provide consultation and support to Operations, Maintenance and Manufacturing

• Analyze systems to identify performance improvements and cost savings
• Conduct risk assessments and eliminate Single Points of Failure (SPOF)
• Collaborate on root cause identification and prevention with manufacturing teams
• Participate in build review meetings for First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) compositions
• Act as the site representative for corporate requests and benchmarking
• Support other sites with personnel, consultation, and documentation
• Maintain domain knowledge in relevant chemical and instrumentation control theories
• Keep updated on equipment support protocols

Experience

• More than 5 years of expertise in Gas supply systems, encompassing O&M, expansion, and enhancement
• More than 5 years of expertise in Semiconductor/TFT-LCD equipment engineering
