What you'll do: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Hsinchu, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of gaming products by bringing innovative ideas to life through hands-on prototyping and meticulous design work. Your ability to analyse experimental data, optimise designs for manufacturability, and communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners will be key to your success in this dynamic role. * Ideate, explore, and prototype mechanical and electromechanical solution concepts that enhance user experiences for gaming products. * Deliver robust mechanical product designs from initial concept through development stages into successful mass production, ensuring high quality at every step. * Collaborate closely with Industrial Designers and cross-functional product development teams to define and develop innovative products from concept to launch. * Lead and support innovation activities within the gaming controller category, driving continuous improvement and advancement of engineering capabilities. * Build proof-of-concept models to evaluate user experience, functionality, manufacturability, and robustness of new designs. * Ensure complex mechanical systems meet stringent quality standards using advanced tools such as dFMEA, QFD, and FEA simulation techniques. * Analyse data generated from pilot builds and laboratory experiments to inform design decisions and optimise product performance. * Perform detailed tolerance analyses to verify mechanism performance and cosmetic specifications under high-volume dimensional variation conditions. * Create comprehensive 3D designs and 2D documentation for all parts and assemblies involved in product development. * Interact with vendors as well as internal Manufacturing, Supply Chain, NPI, and Supplier Quality Engineering groups to develop efficient manufacturing processes and tooling.

Your background should include hands-on involvement with plastics injection moulding processes as well as proficiency in 3D CAD modelling software such as Pro/Engineer. You will have demonstrated success managing complex projects from concept through mass production while maintaining an unwavering focus on quality assurance. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate effectively across diverse teams—including industrial designers, supply chain specialists, manufacturing engineers—and communicate technical information clearly both internally and externally. • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or similar field) is required for consideration.
• At least five years of experience in mechanical design or development of high-volume consumer electronic products is essential for success.
• Detailed knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes, tooling design, assembly procedures, cosmetic finishes, defect analysis for hard plastic, soft plastic, metal processing/post-treatment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Design/Development processes and tools specific to high-volume manufacturing environments is expected.
• Advanced skills using Pro/Engineer or similar 3D CAD packages including expertise in Advanced Surfacing are necessary.
• Strong familiarity with ANSYS simulation software for evaluating design robustness is important.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities coupled with effective risk management strategies are vital attributes for this position.
