About the job:

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google engineers are developing the next-generation of Pixel and Wearable technologies that will change how users connect, explore, and interact with information. We need our engineers to be passionate to address new problems as we continue to push technology forward. If you get excited about building new things, then our team might be your next career step.

As a member of the team, you will develop new products that are used by millions of people. You will be joining a fluid team taking creative approaches to manufacture new hardware products. You will be expected to execute within a collaborative environment that provides every tool and resource you need to get things done

Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Devices & Services team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful. Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, the Devices & Services team is making people's lives better through technology.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of new manufacturing processes and technologies, supporting early-stage product concepts and advanced architecture initiatives.
  • Advocate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities, collaborating with engineering to identify and mitigate potential product and process issues.
  • Implement manufacturing through continuous improvement of assembly tooling, automated equipment, and contract manufacturing partners.
