The Ring AI Team develops state-of-the-art AI solutions for our devices and features, focusing on enhancing customer convenience and security. As part of our team, you'll help transform advanced AI and computer vision research into practical solutions that improve customer experiences. You'll tackle complex technical challenges and build scalable systems that define the future of smart home technology.

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to translate business requirements into innovative solutions, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and solve unprecedented technical challenges at scale.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement novel machine learning algorithms, focusing on computer vision and generative AI applications
- Design and optimize scalable AI systems for large-scale datasets, ensuring high performance and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to transform research concepts into production-ready solutions
- Apply state-of-the-art Machine Learning/AI research to solve complex business challenges
- Create clear technical documentation and reports to effectively communicate concepts and results

A day in the life
Your day will be a blend of creative problem-solving and technical excellence. You'll dive deep into computer vision and generative AI challenges, collaborating with global teams to prototype innovative solutions. Expect to move fluidly between research, development, and production implementation, where your innovative thinking will directly shape transformative technologies.

Basic Qualifications:
- Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with focus on deep learning and computer vision.
- Demonstrated experience in deep learning model architecture design and training infrastructure
- 2 years of experience in implementing computer vision algorithms using multiple toolkits and custom code
- 1 year programming experience in C++ and Python
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Linux platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven innovation track record in algorithm development and research
- Experience in end-to-end system design, from prototyping to production deployment
- Strong communication skills with ability to effectively present to both technical and non-technical audiences
