Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin OPI/VRI Interpreter. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for providing over-the-phone and video remote interpretation services. Your day-to-day tasks will include facilitating communication between Mandarin-speaking clients and English-speaking service providers, ensuring accurate and precise interpretation, and maintaining ethical and professional standards in all interpretations.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English
  • Experience in OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) is a plus
  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and ability to navigate cultural differences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in the interpretation or translation industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred
