THE ROLE:

The Global Operations and Quality (GOQ) Group is looking for System Test Engineers focused on our Datacenter Accelerated Computing products. We are looking for dynamic and energetic engineers to join our growing team. As a key contributor to GOQ, you will interact with cross-functional teams to develop test program to produce industry leading products for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications. Specifically, this role is focused on manufacturing test solutions and automation, validation, and continuous test time improvement to help our manufacturing partners' deliver AMD's leading datacenter systems. 

THE PERSON:

• Has strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details 
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver manufacturing test program and test efficiency.
• Must be a team player but also be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision 
• Has a strong interest in the manufacturing of GPU hardware and knowledge of AI, ML, and HPC products 
• Is very familiar with Linux, and computing hardware testing and debug.
• Ability to learn new technologies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development of test content and solutions in Python.
• Review and provide feedback for DFT in the early design stages.
• Debug complex hardware and software issues 
• Contribute to automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure.
•  Contribute to manufacturing hardware test solutions that translate into methodologies and processes applicable across Board and System product segments.
• Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to improve production efficiency.
• Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues.
• Solves complex, novel and non-recurring problems; initiates significant changes to existing processes/ methods and leads development and implementation.
• Provide technical supervision or mentoring junior engineers.
• Influences others as a technical leader.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with manufacturing test programs at platform level.
• Good years of experience with Board or System products.
• Strong Background in Python programming and bash scripting.
• Experience in developing tests and diagnostics on local and remote servers / test equipment.
• Debug experience in hardware, software, device, and/or manufacturing domains.
• Experience with Linux or Unix Operating Systems.
• Experience in XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban as Scrum Master or Product Owner.
• Experience with GIT revision control
• Solid Knowledge of IPMI, PCIE, BMC, and Thermal Solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
