Job Description

  • Drive the design and development of electrical systems for complex consumer products, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to optimise designs for reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and validation testing to ensure robust product performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for electrical issues during development and production phases.
  • Support supplier engagement and component selection to meet technical and commercial requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design for consumer electronics or similar industries.
  • Strong proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, OrCAD).
  • Hands-on experience with validation testing, debugging, and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and safety certifications for electronic products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in English for technical documentation and cross-regional communication.
